Cypress Cove Care Center is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our Dietary Services team. If you enjoy preparing nutritious meals, take pride in your work, and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, we’d love to meet you!

The Part-Time Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals that meet established dietary guidelines and physician-ordered diets, while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and quality. This role plays a vital part in supporting the health and well-being of our residents.

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary requirements

• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times

• Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule

• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas

• Assist with inventory, food storage, and proper labeling

• Work collaboratively with dietary staff and nursing teams

• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and staff

• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred (healthcare or long-term care experience a plus)

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed
