Luther Park Community is seeking a very reliable, customer focused COOK to provide a positive dining experience to residents at Trinity Center.
Prefer previous dietary cook experience in a healthcare environment.
Overview of Responsibilities:
Prepare food items for the current meal.
Place hot food items on cart to go upstairs to steam table.
Place items on steam table and take and record temps.
Serve lunch to Small Dining Room, Room Trays then Large Dining Room.
After lunch, remove pans from Steam Table, wash steam table, bring pans down to be washed.
Start prep for next meal.
Check menu for next day to see what needs to be pulled from freezer.
Take food temps and record.
Do daily cleaning by following posted cleaning schedule.
Sweep and mop work area, lock all doors and place keys in locker before going home.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Have at least two years minimum of commercial cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
Positive attitude towards residents and their reality
Teamwork and respect given to all co-workers
Must possess good verbal communication skills
Must have ServSafe certificate or be able to acquire within allotted time frame
Must be able to fluently speak, read, write and understand the English language
Must follow written and verbal direction from supervisor
Must pass background check and post-offer physical, TB test and Drug Screen
