Surge Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking Part-time Cooks to join their team!
The cook is responsible for prepping and preparing food for residents and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Handles and prepares food in accordance with federal, state and local sanitary regulations.
- Prepares nutritionally appropriate and appetizing meals, including modified consistency and therapeutic diets, as directed by Food Service Director and/or Supervisor.
- Properly cares for dietary equipment.
- Follows menus and special diet instructions.
- Takes food temperatures per policy and ensures food items are prepared, cooled and stored in adherence to corporate, local, state and federal guidelines.
- Other Duties as assigned by the Director or Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have general cooking knowledge
- 2 years of cooking experience
- Experience in a healthcare setting helpful
- Must be able to follow production sheets and standardized recipes
Salary: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time
Shift: Weekends
Hours per week: 15 - 22.5
