COOK/SUPERVISOR DUTIES

UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE DIETARY MANAGER, EVENING COOK WILL PREPARE MENU ITEMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ESTABLISHED

STANDARDS, SERVE MENU ITEMS ATTACTIVELY, AT PROPER TEMPERATURE, AND IMPLEMENTS PROPER CLEANING AND FOOD HANDLING FOR OPTIMAL INFECTION CONTROL.

THIS POSITION WOULD BE MONDAY-FRIDAY AND AS REQUIRED, ABLE TO WORK OCCASIONAL WEEKENDS TO MEET DIETARY NEEEDS.

 

THIS EVENING COOK/SUPERVISOR POSITION EARNS COMPETITIVE PAY, based on experience. We also provide our employees with excellent benefits and perks, including medical,

ABOUT OUR FACILITY

This level of care would not be possible without our compassionate and focused dietary staff working with nutritious meal plans.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIETARY COOK/SUPERVISOR

    • Performs job duties safely as specified in the physical, sensory and mental requirements.

    • Reads menus, recipes, and reviews the necessary steps in meal preparation with Director Of Dietary Services.

    • Prepares menu items in accordance with establishment standards.

    • Determines quantity of food needed in meal preparation.

    • Follows established recipes.

    • Uses proper food reparation and handling techniques.

    • Prepares substitute items to meal resident's individual needs.

    • Serves meals using portion listed on menu.

    • Covers, dates and labels leftovers and stores properly.

    • Supervises dietary staff in absence of Director Of Dietary Services.

    • Cleans and maintains the kitchen facility in a safe and sanitary manner including floors, walls, all equipment and utensils.

    • Preforms dish washing of pots, pans and other designed items.

QUALIFICATIONS,

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to preform the tasks required.

Experience in Dietary department, large volume food preparation and service preferred.
