Controller

Serve as principal advisor regarding all financial matters which may affect financial success of hospital.  Develop annual operating and capital budgets, annual long-range financial plan, and prepare appropriate financial reports.  Help develop strategies to maintain the financial will being of the hospital.  Invest excess short term and long-term cash and/or investment portfolios to maximize the return on investment while maintaining the safety of the investment.  Supervise and direct the following departments:  Accounting, Data Processing, Collections, Business Office, and Insurance.  Accountable for preparation and review of contracts with preferred vendors.  Accountable for business office functions including billing systems and procedures for accurate billing and collection of accounts. Ensure accuracy and efficiency of chargemaster and compliance of regulatory requirements relating to billing. Work with GAAP in the accounting system and maintain appropriate and accurate financial records to present to administration.  Ensure all financial reporting responsibilities are well documented and maintained within compliance for the facility.  Responsible for any and all duties related to the expenditure and revenue cycle within the facility.
