Contributions Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY
The Contributions Coordinator is a critical role supporting the Finance department by processing various types of contributions in platforms such as Rock, Intacct Sage, and others. This position serves as the first point of contact for CBC’s church members and donors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate humility and a servant’s heart in all interactions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Process weekly cash, check, and electronic contributions accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and maintain proper documentation for all fund transactions, including receipts and backup materials.
- Enter and update contribution data across multiple platforms, including Sage Intacct, Rock, and other accounting systems.
- Manage the contributions inbox and respond to donor inquiries via phone or email, providing excellent service.
- Assist with ministry deposits and perform fund reconciliations to ensure accurate records.
- Prepare reports related to contributions, donor activity, and fund balances
- Support month-end and year-end close processes as needed.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the finance team.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a regular full-time position. Days and hours are scheduled anytime Monday – Thursday, 7:00am-5:00pm or 8:00am-6:00pm. Evenings and weekends may be required based on the operations needs of the church.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following:
- Must have good or corrected vision as well as effective peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must have good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motion of the hands and arms
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move about inside the office to perform a variety of tasks
- Must be able to frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
- Must be able to frequently lift 15 pounds and/or push/pull objects up to 50 pounds
- Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- 3-4 years’ experience in related fields
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duties are performed in an office setting where the work and general environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee can effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple projects in a service-oriented environment. Environmental noise levels are minimal.
