Construction Sales Representative
Job Description:
Boundary Equipment’s Calgary Branch is looking for an experienced Construction Salesperson to service their territories, including Central and Southern Alberta and Southern Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Technical Sales Representative, the Construction Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry, excellent sales acumen, and a proactive approach to customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve company sales targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Travel is approximately two weeks out of the month (travel may fluctuate depending on business needs).
- Provide technical product knowledge and support to customers.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals effectively.
- Work closely with the other Calgary team members for quotes, warehouse support, and product information.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for market growth.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as required.
- Any other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of sales experience.
- Experience working in the construction industry is required.
- Experience with selling construction or industrial equipment wear parts is an asset.

- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based role with visits to customer sites.
- Office based role in North Calgary / Rocky Mountain County, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour lunch.
- Frequent travel to client sites, which includes out-of-town travel.
- Participation in industry conferences, exhibitions, and business development events.
- PPE such as hard hats, safety boots, and high-visibility clothing may be required on sites.
