Construction Project Manager / Estimator
Family owned and operated Construction Company looking for a Qualified candidate to fill a Project Manager/Estimator/Sales Position.

Job Purpose - Prepare cost estimates for Residential and Commercial Construction projects.
Primary focus on initial customer contact, bidding, sales and follow through.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints and other construction drawings to prepare time, cost , materials and labor estimates
- Attend Pre-bid meetings
- Meet with Customers, Property Managers, Owners, Architects and Engineers
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling work
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects and services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
- Review material and labor requirements
- Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies, contractors and subcontractors
- Perform quantity take-off's, footage, volumes and schematic and construction documents for self performed items
- Break down plan and project into parts and all materials and quantities necessary to complete the project
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of product quantity, materials, equipment and manpower needed.
- Prepare schematic budgets and estimates in a timely manner
- Prepare and submit bid forms and proposals
- Prepare and review purchase and change orders as required by company policy
- Organize and schedule estimating work to meet all required deadlines
- Review vendors and subcontracts and determine cost effectiveness
- Assist with locating and researching bid opportunities
Experience and Education:
- Carpentry field experience in Residential and Commercial building industry
- Extra training and education, Certifications a plus
- Computer experience
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Mathematics
- Computers and Electronics
- Administration and Management - knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods and coordination of people and resources.
- Design knowledge- techniques, tools and principles involved in production processes.
- Time Management
- Building and Construction- Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in construction or repair of houses, buildings or other structures.
- Knowledge of building practices and procedures
