Project Manager responsibilities include proficiency in planning, organizing, prioritizing tasks, and managing project budgets and schedules. Effective communication with clients, project teams, and stakeholders is crucial for conveying information and managing expectations. Understanding construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations is necessary for overseeing projects. Familiarity with construction management software, project scheduling tools, and cost estimation software is also important. 


Project Manager Primary Responsibilities:

  • Planning the work to be done, getting the necessary personnel, and assigning the right duties to the right people
  • Hiring the right people and putting them on the right sites, as well as reprimanding and firing workers when needed
  • Coordinating tasks by different people on different sites to ensure uniformity upon project completion
  • Ensure timely completion of the project to build client trust while avoiding unnecessary penalties
  • Working within the budget by adequately estimating the costs and cutting unnecessary expenses
  • Procuring and allocation resources to ensure there is no shortage while avoiding any unnecessary delay caused by management decisions
  • Managing both internal and external risks within the projects lifetime, such as poor planning designs, and government policies, which directly or indirectly affect the project

Project Manager Requirements:

  • PMP Certification Preferred
  • Must have previous experience managing projects valued at $3m+
  • Ability to lead a team by being a good and effective communicator
  • Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment where all those with project responsibilities work well together
  • Ability to maintain a high level of organization by ensuring daily job allocation
  • Excel in planning how each process would be done, how resources are to be acquired, and with the project should be completed
  • Ability to determine potential risks while devising proactive ways to solve them
  • Excellence in the budgeting of financial resources
  • Ability to welcome feedback and use it to improve the quality of production
  • Excellence in verbal communications skills

Most of the projects that are performed by NHI Commercial are directly related to multi-family housing. This means that in many cases, projects are performed within occupied units and communities, and it is the expectation of NHI Commercial that all employees act with a high level of professionalism.


Base pay is $75 - $85/year

*Contract-Based Pay on top of base pay is contingent on contract value. Contract-Based Pay can be as high as 2.5%, based on experience and project roles. Contract-Based Pay will last the length of construction project.
