Construction Operations Manager – Lead with Excellence at United Mechanical

As our Construction Operations Manager, you’ll lead and oversee all construction operations- driving efficiency, upholding the highest quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed in the most cost-effective manner possible.

In this pivotal role, you’ll champion our Vision and Business Strategy, fostering profitability, credibility, and a positive team environment while delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll set the standard for excellence, leading with a welcoming, friendly, and empathetic approach, staying responsive to needs, and effectively communicating our President’s vision for growth and team success.

What you’ll do:

• Provide proactive, hands-on leadership across all operational areas, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive substantial, profitable growth at local and regional levels.
• Standardize and enhance operational processes to support long-term scalability and performance.
• Oversee operational budgets, financial performance, and production metrics-adjusting to meet strategic goals.
• Maintain project quality standards, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Field Managers, and other operational staff to achieve excellence.
• Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability across all teams.

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years of experience as a manager in the commercial mechanical construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing budgets, P&L, and operational metrics.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and safety protocols.
• HVAC licensing or certification preferred.
