Concord American Flagpole Shipper/Receiver IV - 1st Shift
SUMMARY
Perform various manual duties regarding the assembly of finished goods, which includes but is not limited to the following products (sentry, estate, and continental poles); Single and double halyard, ability to configure cleat covers and channel. Preparing and working on anodized poles. Knowledge of all components and equipment to be shipped such as, assembly hardware and ground sleeves. Ability to check shipments against shipping documents and instructions to ensure all components are included in the hardware kits as specified.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Participate in inventory control.
· Prepare finished goods for shipment.
· Keep Lead/Supervisor informed of any discrepancies on incoming hardware kits and make corrections as instructed.
· Answer inquiries regarding the following: Receipts of materials, shipments made or pending.
· Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor.
· Must have the ability to operate material handling equipment, such as a forklift, in a safe manner in accordance with the CAFP/Hapco safety policy.
· Fabrication of all CAFP/Hapco products.

· Be certified and drive a forklift.
· Configure cleat covers and channel.
· Polish collars, channels, and poles.
· Weld steel ground sleeves.
· Multi-task and continuously prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the shift per the direction of leadership.
· Properly upkeep and maintain all equipment and their TPMs.
· Assemble parts, patio poles, and parts boxes (when required).
· Knowledge of all required hand tools, routers and equipment. (Automatic Plasma Cutting Machine)
· Compliance with all CAFP/Hapco safety regulations.
· Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Qualified individuals must have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent (GED). Welding experience preferred.
Must have the ability to operate in a safe manner the material handling equipment such as a forklift, band saw, chop saw, Automatic Plasma Cutting Machine, etc. Ability to communicate with peers, vendors, customers, purchasing and production control. Have a good understanding with the ability to interpret bill of materials. To drive a forklift for the company, the individual should not have a pattern of unsafe driving behavior in a vehicle. A clean driving record is one free of accidents, moving violations, or points.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The employee in this position must possess the ability to communicate effectively one-on-one or in group situations with customers, suppliers, contractors, executive staff members and co-workers; utilizing methods to include, but not limited to verbal/written presentations or conversations plus telephone and email communications.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and perform trigonometric and geometric calculations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Must be able to work in a team environment and participate, contribute and support all team activities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for the entire shift. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Proper lifting techniques required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving machining equipment, moving mechanical parts, dirt, oil, grease, metal shavings, and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. In general, the noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud with exposures ranging from 80db to more than 100db, at certain times.
Specified safety equipment should be always used while operating equipment and, as mandated, while performing tasks within this position. Mandatory safety protection (PPE) and caution will be required while in the plant.
