As a key member of our transit communications and marketing department, you will assist in creating content, managing social media platforms, and supporting internal and external communications efforts. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience within the public transportation sector, engaging with the public and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful community relations projects.

Responsibilities:
•     Website Builder: Assisting with the development, maintenance, and design of website. Creating new web pages, updating existing content, and ensuring the website is functioning correctly. 
•     Content Creation: Developing content for various platforms, such as social media, and marketing materials like brochures and presentations.
•     Social Media Management: Managing the agency's social media presence, engaging with followers, and potentially running social media campaigns.
•     Public Engagement: Assisting with outreach events, responding to public inquiries, and gathering through creating QR codes and other options for obtaining feedback.
•     Media Relations: Supporting media relations efforts by monitoring media coverage, compiling reports, maintaining the agency's media contact list and aiding with the development of press releases.
•     Event Support: Assisting with the planning and execution of promotional events. 
•     Research: Conducting market research to identify trends and gather information to support communication projects and campaigns.
•     Administrative Tasks: Providing general administrative support to the communications and marketing department and other internal teams. Collaborating on various projects and contributing in meetings.

Skills and Qualifications:
•     A college student in their junior or senior year at a four-year college
•     High energy; Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•     Proficiency in social media platforms.
•     Basic understanding of marketing principles.
•     Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•     Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•     Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
•     Experience with graphic design or video editing is a plus.
•     A passion for public transportation and community engagement is also beneficial.
