Commercial Solar Foreman for La Qunta/Beaumont Area

COMMERCIAL SOLAR INSTALLER

The Solar Installer will assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

·      Assemble and install solar panels on ground mounts, roofs, and other structures.

·      Configure PV systems based on site conditions and clients needs and expectations; connect panels to the power grid.

·      Follow building standards and codes when installing panels and support structures.

·      Perform installation of all needs on PV systems, from underground construction to grid interconnection.

 Required Skills/Abilities: 

·      Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation.

·      Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment.

·      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·      Ability to read building plans.

·      Ability to read equipment manuals.

·      Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels.

Education and Experience:

·      High school diploma or equivalent required.

·      Vocational or technical school training preferred.

·      Previous related experience preferred.

 Physical Requirements: 

·      Must be able to work at rooftop heights.

·      Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.

·      Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time.
