We have an exciting new opportunity for a Commercial Lines Agent at Tedford Insurance.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Commercial Lines Agent implements marketing strategies to develop a strong network of prospective clients, develops leads to market insurance products.  This role services existing clients and conducts ongoing reviews to seek opportunities to present products to enhance client's insurance portfolio and offers high-quality insurance solutions to clients.  This position requires employees to use their professional skills to create new relationships through networking, referrals, cold calls, and emails.  They provide a positive client experience, successfully deliver the client's desired outcome, and ensure that the client is satisfied with the products and services provided by Tedford Insurance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, coworkers, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds agency expectations.
* Develop and execute marketing strategies that will deliver an acceptable number of new insurance contracts.
* Generate sales leads.
* Identify client's insurance needs by reviewing current coverage and options.
* Retain current clients while bringing on potential new business through product sales, referrals, cross-sales, and your professional network.
* Review client proposals and summaries of insurance as needed.
* Review quotes and policies for new and renewal submissions from the carrier.
* Respond to client questions and requests in a prompt and professional manner.
* Provide technical expertise to the client on their insurance requirements.
* Review binders, certificates, endorsements, policies, and any other related items before they are delivered to the client.
* Review renewal expiration reports to prevent any lapse in coverage.
* Proactively stays ahead of changes in the market or business environment and makes clients aware of how these may impact the selected coverages.
* Assist with insurance claims to help expedite claim resolution when necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Knowledge of insurance business.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and marketing skills.
* Outgoing, goal driven, and detail orientated.
* Quality Management - demonstrates attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a team environment while maintaining a pleasant and effective relationship with clients, team members, carriers, and other business contacts.
* Passionate about delivering positive results for the client.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, AMS and/or related software.
* Continuously improve knowledge and performance by staying informed on industry information, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology.
* Manage workflow efficiently and set priorities as needed.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision to deliver high-quality results.
EDUCATION, LICENSES AND EXPERIENCE:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
* Valid Driver's License.
* Must have a valid Oklahoma Property & Casualty Insurance License.
* Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, CISR, and CPCU are a plus.
* Two years of experience in a commercial property and casualty insurance agency utilizing a thorough understanding of all property and casualty insurance coverages.
