Collections Supervisor

Manning Park, BC Seasonal $22.00-$24.00/hour

We are presently looking for our next great team member as a Collections Supervisor to join our Park Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you!


Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)
* Coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of Day/Night Collections and Patrol.
* Train staff in job duties, safety protocols, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
* Monitor quality of the work, safety, and security of the collections team.
* Ensure collection of Park fees and monitor sales of campground firewood.
* Ensure smooth operation of park facilities and coordinate maintenance and repair work.
* Provide site security and enforcement of Park policies; report incidents and occurrences efficiently to supervisor or manager.
* Clean and maintain parks facilities according to BC Parks standards (including but not limited to pit toilets, garbage bins, campsites, picnic tables, firepits communal areas, wash houses, and shower stalls).
* Establish work schedules and procedures with Park Operation Manager.
* Coordinate activities with other department supervisors.
* Resolve work-related problems such as incident reports.
* Prepare and submit reports on revenues, maintenance, renovations, park operations and occupancy levels for the Park Operations Manager.
* Manage inventory and order supplies for collections team.
* Assist the operation department with other tasks as required which may include but is not limited to covering shifts at the boathouse (Canoe, Kayak, SUP rentals) and with the grounds team (trails clearing, maintenance).
* May perform the same duties as workers supervised. May cover other supervisor shifts as required (Park Operator, Boathouse, Grounds)
* Other tasks as required within MPR.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:
* Previous experience supervising a team. 
* Effective time management and organizational skills. 
* Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. 
* Ability to work in a high-paced environment as both an individual and team player. 
* Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
* Previous experience handling money and record keeping.
* Experience using Microsoft Office and campground reservation software such as CAMIS and DigiRez.
* Minimum Class 5 driver's license with a clean drivers abstract.
* Clean criminal record check.
* Available to work flexible hours; morning/evening shifts will be required. Mainly evening shifts during the peak season (July/August) and public holidays. 32-40hrs per week.
* Value safe working practices.
* Basic First Aid Certification (8hrs) or willingness to obtain one before the beginning of the season. Please note that MPR is offering a First Aid course at no cost.
* Fluent in English. A second language would be considered an asset.
* Opportunity to transition to a Lift Operator or Park Supervisor role next Winter for the right person.

This is a Seasonal position, so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Summer Season (May - October).
