Collections Recovery Specialist

Shepherd Outsourcing is a financial services company specializing in third party debt collections. We are seeking self-driven individuals in Greenville, SC and surrounding areas to join our goal-oriented, in-office environment. Job Summary:

A Recovery Specialist is responsible for the collections of outstanding accounts from our existing client base. This includes resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency while maintain the highest compliance expectations. This is a job that rewards performance and compliance offering a monthly commission based on performance to goal. This role is supported by a Team Leader. The work schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm EST.

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Place outgoing and receive incoming phone calls to collect debts.
  • Exceed a monthly production goal.
  • Meet and exceed monthly KPI standards.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Learns quickly and has strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong negotiation and active listening skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous collection or call center experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Language Skills: Clear and concise communication is required.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills on and off the phone, including active listening with the ability to multitask. Quality customer experience is paramount.

Other Skills and Abilities: Strong computer skills are necessary for this position. Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem solve. 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Have a strong business knowledge in the specific area(s) of responsibility.
