**Job Overview:**  
The Collections Manager will be responsible for overseeing the dealership’s collections process, ensuring timely and effective collection of outstanding accounts while maintaining a positive relationship with customers. This individual will lead a team, develop strategies to improve collection rates, and ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Manage and lead the collections team, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies to reduce overdue accounts and improve overall collection performance.
- Review and maintain accurate records of accounts receivable, including aging reports and payment histories.
- Communicate with customers regarding overdue accounts, payment arrangements, and offer solutions for outstanding balances.
- Collaborate with the finance and sales departments to identify accounts requiring special attention and address potential issues proactively.
- Monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to collections and financial transactions.
- Prepare regular reports on collection status and trends, presenting findings to management.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and disputes with professionalism and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in collections management.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in collections management, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to debt collection.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead a team and drive performance results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
