Codificateur(trice) d'inventaire / Cataloguer
Reporting to the Supply Manager, the cataloguer will be responsible for managing and updating the main central catalog, ensuring that all equipment and services are properly classified and comply with the Company's standards/directives. He/she will work a hybrid schedule, telecommuting and in the Montreal office, on a 5-day work/2-day off schedule. He/she will also be required to make occasional visits to the Windfall site in the Nord-du-Québec region.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
- Act at all times as a leader in safety, environment and community relations in order to help achieve the highest standards;
- Respect at all times the policies and regulations regarding occupational health and safety and the environment and ensure that these rules are respected by the staff;
- Create, update and maintain material catalogs in a timely manner while complying with the Company's database standards, policies and procedures;
- Maintain a high level of data quality by ensuring that master data is consistent, complete, accurate, up-to-date and free of duplication;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cataloging and enrichment of master data;
- Understand the impact of poor data quality on essential operational processes, such as maintenance and the supply chain;
- Ensure that items are correctly reflected in the master data catalogs;
- Liaise between the various stakeholders by coordinating the preparation of the master data catalogs;
- Inform the relevant stakeholders of the creation, updating or maintenance of the master data;
- Work with the supply chain inventory analyst and the site to periodically review and rationalize (i.e. archive redundant records) the master data catalogs of materials;
- Perform any other related tasks as an cataloguer and warehouse clerk that are relevant to the success of the project.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma (DES);
- Advanced degree in supply chain, business and engineering or a related discipline (an asset);
- Minimum of three (3) years of cataloguing experience in the mining industry;
- Experience in supply management (an asset);
- Valid class 5 driver's license.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Functional oral and written English (will have to communicate with English-speaking suppliers);
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Knowledge of SAP software.
