CNC Mill Machinist - Day Shift
We are currently hiring for a full-time CNC Mill Machinist for our manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta. A CNC Machinist produces machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a CNC machine, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
As a CNC Mill Operator, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Programming and operating CNC machines
- Selecting tooling and set up methods to produce parts in the most efficient manner
- Reviewing and interpreting drawings to ensure all specifications are met
- Modifying machine speed, tooling and cutting styles to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts
- Ensuring quality on all parts and enforcing the Fidelity quality standard ISO & AS9100
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing common CNC problems
- Use of various hand tools
- Performing minor maintenance tasks and tool calibrations as needed
- Following all health and safety regulations and controlled goods requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience operating CNC machines
- Journeyman, machinist trade certificate or equivalent experience required
- Experience in Mastercam, Powermill, Solidworks or any other CAD/CAM software is considered an asset
- Mandatory that this role take part in a criminal record check and controlled goods screening
- Ability to work 7:30am - 4pm
