Shifts: 7:00am-7:00pm

Location: 5837 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville TN 37919

Compensation: $37,500-$41,500 (annual, full time)



Job Description:

  • We’re looking for dedicated Mentors who can help our new CNAs become acclimated to the job and facility.   Mentors provide guidance, advice, feedback, and support to the mentee, serving as role model, teacher, and leader.
  • To be an effective mentor, you must be well-versed in the techniques to become a successful CNA. The mentor will support their mentees’ social integration to provide a well-rounded, rewarding experience at the facility.
  • Guide, support and training of all new CNA’s to develop the knowledge and skills required for the role.
  • Provide hands-on instruction in essential nursing tasks, such as patient care, hygiene assistance, vital sign measurement, and documentation.
  • Demonstrate proper techniques and procedures in a clinical setting, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
  • Assess the progress and performance of trainees through observation, evaluation, and feedback sessions, identifying areas for improvement and providing constructive guidance.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment, motivating trainees to excel in role at the facility
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, sharing personal experiences, insights, and practical advice to help trainees navigate the challenges of working in healthcare.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and healthcare professionals to ensure alignment between classroom orientation and clinical practice.
  • Stay updated on developments in nursing education, healthcare practices, and regulatory requirements to enhance the effectiveness of training.

Education, Experience, And Licensure Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a State-approved CNA program
  • I am currently licensed in TN State.
  • Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year nursing home experience preferred.
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
