CNA clinical instructor
The CNA Clinical Site Placement provides hands-on, supervised clinical experience for Certified Nursing Assistant trainees. Under the direction of licensed nurses and clinical instructors, students apply their classroom knowledge in real-world patient care settings. This experience is a required component of CNA certification and is designed to develop practical skills, professional behavior, and patient interaction competencies.
Key Responsibilities:-
Assist residents or patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.

Take and record vital signs: temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.

Observe and report changes in patients' physical or mental condition to supervising staff.

Help patients with mobility, including transferring from beds to wheelchairs, walking, and repositioning to prevent bedsores.

Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient areas and equipment.

Practice infection control and follow facility policies and safety standards.

Work collaboratively with nursing staff, therapists, and other team members.

Communicate with patients and families in a respectful, compassionate manner.

Complete required documentation or clinical checklists under supervision.

Uphold patient confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.

Enrollment in an approved CNA training program.

Completion of required classroom/lab instruction before clinical placement.

Current CPR certification (preferred or as required by the site).

Compliance with health screening, TB testing, and background check.

Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.

Demonstrate safe, competent basic nursing care.

Build effective communication and teamwork skills.

Understand real-world application of ethical and legal principles in patient care.

Gain confidence in interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Clinical placements may be in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, or rehabilitation centers.

Exposure to patients with a range of medical and psychological conditions.

Supervised by licensed nurses and/or clinical instructors at all times.
