Job Description

Family Ark provides individual, family, and group therapy services to youth and families in southern Indiana. The Clinical Therapist provides therapeutic interventions in the office setting and collaborates with team members, schools, families and other professionals to meet each child's specific goals and needs. This individual also works with DCS and/or family recovery court-involved families to address behavioral health, substance use and family-focused needs. This position reports to the Clinical Director of Outpatient Services.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Facilitates individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Maintains all client case records by documenting client contacts, as well as contacts with referral sources, schools, parents, and other professionals.
  • Develops treatment plans, revises treatment plans and writes and submits monthly reports to referral sources.
  • Participates in case conferences and court proceedings as necessary for client care.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling.
  • 2 years of like social service experience in his/her respective discipline.
  • Professional license (LSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LMHCA, LMHC ) required.
  • Addictions Certification (i.e. LCACA, LCAC) is preferred.
  • Ability to assess and coordinate the treatment needs for complex family systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
