Clinical Quality Assurance Administrator
Type: Full-time, In-office
Responsibilities:
Review Clinical Notes:
Regularly review clinical notes submitted by direct care staff for accuracy and timeliness.
Utilize a note rubric provided by Pathways to Life, Inc to ensure that all notes meet organizational standards.
Identify any discrepancies or errors in the clinical notes and take appropriate action to address them.
Provide Timely Feedback:
Provide constructive feedback to direct care staff regarding any concerns or deficiencies identified in their clinical notes.
Communicate feedback promptly to facilitate continuous improvement in note-writing skills and adherence to standards.
Report Trends and Training Needs:
Analyze data from reviewed clinical notes to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Report findings to leadership staff, including any recurring issues or training needs observed among direct care staff.
Ensure Accuracy of Weekly Schedules and Timesheets:
Compare weekly schedules with submitted clinical notes and timesheets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Address any discrepancies found between schedules, notes, and timesheets promptly to maintain data integrity.
Collaborate with Team:
Collaborate with other quality assurance staff and relevant departments to share insights, best practices, and solutions.
Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of reviewed clinical notes, feedback provided, and actions taken.
Generate regular reports summarizing key metrics, trends, and quality assurance activities for management review.
Continuous Improvement:
Proactively suggest improvements to existing processes, workflows, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to clinical documentation and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Psychology) preferred.
Previous experience in quality assurance, healthcare compliance, or a related field is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using computer software and databases for data analysis and documentation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare).
