Psychologist for Telehealth Autism (ASD) Evaluations (Remote Position)

We are a playful and purposeful early intervention team for children with autism.  We have two beautiful centers in the Kansas City area and recently launched an Outreach Program to reach the underserved areas across Kansas and Missouri.  We are seeking an experienced Psychologist to conduct telehealth autism evaluations for children aged 18 months to 6 years old.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conduct remote, telehealth psychological evaluations and assessments for children with suspected autism spectrum disorders.

• Analyze and interpret diagnostic data to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations.

• Prepare detailed written reports summarizing evaluation findings, diagnoses, and recommendations.

• Provide counseling and support to individuals and families navigating autism diagnoses.

• Stay current with research and advancements in autism assessment and treatment.

• Participate in professional development and AFTS Team activities (remotely).

• Maintain detailed and accurate client records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

You're Probably a Match If You Have:

• A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or a related field.

• State licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in Kansas and Missouri, or eligibility for licensure.

• Specialized training and experience in conducting autism spectrum disorder evaluations, particularly for early intervention and children aged 18 months through 6 years old.

• Proficiency in administering and interpreting a variety of psychological assessments and diagnostic tools.

• Experience with telehealth platforms and conducting remote evaluations.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing detailed reports and interacting with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• A compassionate and patient approach to working with individuals and families affected by autism.

• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in autism research and assessment.

• The ability to maintain detailed and accurate client records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
