Position Overview
We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to serve as a Clinical Operations Assistant supporting two affiliated healthcare organizations: a growing Home Health Agency and an outpatient Behavioral Health Agency.
This position plays a vital role in supporting operational efficiency, client onboarding, referral development, and clinical coordination across both service lines. The focus of responsibilities may vary based on organizational needs, with an initial emphasis on supporting home health growth initiatives.
The title and core operational function will remain consistent across both entities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lifeline Home Support (Initial Focus)
- Support referral development and outreach efforts
- Communicate with hospitals, physician offices, discharge planners, and community referral sources
- Assist with intake coordination and eligibility verification
- Track referral and census data
- Support documentation compliance and record management
- Coordinate scheduling and client onboarding
Comprehensive Behavioral Health Associates (Operational Support)
- Assist with intake processing and documentation tracking
- Support clinical staff with coordination of services
- Monitor documentation completeness and compliance
- Maintain organized client records
- Assist with operational reporting and quality improvement activities
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant (MA) credential required
- Experience in healthcare operations (home health or behavioral health preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable with outreach and relationship-building
- Proficient in EMR systems and basic office software
- Ability to manage responsibilities across multiple service lines
Work Structure
This position supports two affiliated healthcare companies under shared operational leadership. Responsibilities may be allocated between both entities based on organizational needs and census demands.
