CLINICAL NURSE
THE CLINICAL NURSE ACTS AS A LIASON BETWEEN THE PATIENT AND THE PHYSICIAN. THE NURSE MUST HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED CERTIFICATE. THEY MUST BE A GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF NURSING WITH AN ACTIVE LICENSE WITHIN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA. CPR CERTIFICATION IS A REQUIREMENT. THE NURSE WILL DISCUSS WITH PATIENTS THEIR RESULTS AND PROVIDE NECESSARY INSTRUCTIONS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THEIR PHYSCICIAN. THEY WILL REVIEW CHARTS DAILY FOR NEXT DAY APPOINTNMENTS. NURSES ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING PROCEDURES, TESTS AND APPOINTMENTS AS NECESSARY. THE NURSE WILL DOCUMENT PHONE CALLS AND PRESCRIPTION REFILLS. THE NURSES ALSO VERIFY PATHOLOGY REPORTS THAT ARE RECEIVED FROM INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT PROCEDURES. THE EMPLOYEE MUST BE ABLE TO PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND BE ORGANIZED. THE NURSE MUST ALSO BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH AND COMPLETE TASKS WITH LITTLE SUPERVISION. THE CLINICAL NURSE HAS TO BE ABLE TO MULTITASK.
