Job Description


Family Ark provides individual and family therapy services to youth and families in Southern Indiana. The Clinical Manager-Outpatient Services provides clinical supervision to the therapists billing Medicaid and will, as needed, support other clinical staff agency-wide by training, observations, staff development, coaching and evaluation. This position reports to the Senior Director of Treatment Services.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Provides clinical/administrative supervision for the BHC Office-Based and Hybrid School-Based clinical therapists, and as needed, will support other clinical staff agency wide, by training, observations, staff development, coaching, and evaluation.
  • Monitors staff productivity and provides the resources/staff development necessary to reach program goals.
  • Ensures that all clinical documentation, including case notes, initial evaluations, and treatment plans, are following DCS, DMHA, CARF and Medicaid standards.
  • Ensures that all services that are billed to Medicaid follow the Indiana Health Coverage Programs Behavioral Health Services Mental Health and Addiction Manual.
  • Supports the growth and professional development of those supervised by providing timely, clear and direct feedback on a consistent basis.
  • Ensures that clinical services provided meet best practice standards, are safe and therapeutic.
  • Provides ongoing evaluation of staff development and training needs.
  • Develops and institutes policies and procedures in collaboration with the Senior Director of Treatment Services.  Ensures adherence to Family Ark policies & procedures.
  • Facilitates ongoing relationships with community resources and communicates with referral sources, as needed, to maintain a working relationship.
  • Collaborates with other involved service providers, with client consent to enhance team and program effectiveness.
  • Leads group supervision regularly, collaborating with Community-Based Director and is prepared to discuss issues that affect clients, staff, the agency, and the community if needed.
  • Participates in treatment team, CFTMs and court proceedings as necessary for client care.
  • Promotes the quality improvement process by assisting in measurable outcome activities and by identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintains confidentiality for all individuals served by Family Ark and secure client information per HIPAA standards.
  • Adheres to the Code of Ethics and professional standards relevant to his/her professional discipline. 
  • Attends continuing education classes, seminars, and other professional training courses related to the youth and families receiving services from Family Ark, and in order to obtain and maintain licensure.
  • Ensures that all clinical staff obtain and maintain licensure according to IPLA.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local laws concerning child abuse, domestic violence, duty to warn and other mandated reporting statutes.


Minimum Requirements


  • Master's degree in social work.
  • 3 years of-life social service experience in their respective discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Professional clinical licensure in Indiana as an LCSW.
  • Ability to assess and coordinate the treatment needs for complex family systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Utilizes effective conflict management style.
  • Encourages innovation and creativity.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
  • Adheres to the Professional Standards Agreement.
