JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Director – Champion Plaza is responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative team and the day-to-day operations of the Counseling Center. This pivotal position is essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality counseling services, promoting mental health awareness, and supporting clients on their journey to healing and self-discovery in Jesus’ name.

Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Counseling Center, focusing on evidence-based counseling, practices, client-centered care, and positive outcomes
  • Lead the clinical team in designing, implementing, and evaluating counseling programs, ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines and best practices
  • Lead the administrative team in offering streamlined and efficient connection to mental health care

Team Management:

  • Foster a high-performance team culture by providing leadership, mentorship, and developmental feedback to both clinical and administrative staff
  • Set clear performance goals aligned with organizational strategy, ensuring continuous learning collaboration, and achievement of counseling Center objectives
  • Coordinate daily with the team, hold regular staff meetings, and monitor and approve PTO requests
  • Complete performance reviews training, and address performance and ethical issues as needed for the team
  • Oversee and help facilitate payroll

Community Engagement:

  • Build and nurture meaningful relationships with community partners, mental health organizations, and stakeholders
  • Represent Champion Plaza at community events and meetings, advocating for mental health awareness, counseling services, and forming strategic partnerships

Program Development:

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative counseling initiatives, ensuring the provision of comprehensive mental health services to our diverse clientele
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to enhance counseling techniques, therapeutic approaches, and client engagement strategies
  • Development and support of facility needs, office design, and system selection

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, including budgets, audits, grants, and internal reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and programmatic goals, metrics, and standards, and uphold ethical and legal guidelines in counseling practices
  • Plans and implements program/unit objectives in accordance with applicable policies, plans, and procedures
  • Monitors standards of operating and modifies, edits, and adds to the development of policies and procedures

Advocacy and Expertise:

  • Serve as an internal and external expert on mental health services, evidence-based counseling techniques, and Christian-based intervention
  • Advocate for both clients and team members alike to elevate the practice and application of mental health care through a faith-based lens

  • Must possess intermediate computer skills using basic applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet browsing

  • Highest level of personal integrity with an uncompromised commitment to the maintenance of the confidentiality and privacy of all personal and church matters, data, and information. Must be forward-thinking and anticipate the needs of others

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a regular full-time position (40 hrs). Monday-Thursday 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m. Occasional night and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following:

  • Must have good or corrected vision as well as effective peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Must have good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motion of the hands and arms
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to move about inside the office and file rooms to perform a variety of tasks
  • Must be able to frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
  • Must be able to occasionally lift 10-75 pounds and/or push/pull objects up to 50 pounds
  • Occasional events/activities outdoors in the heat, occasional events/activities requiring prolonged standing
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  •  Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor or equivalent within the counseling disciplines
  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
  • Experience in administering client-focused programs, demonstrating successful outcomes within budget and on time
  • At least 5 years of relevant leadership and management experience, preferably in a nonprofit or mental health setting (preferred)
  • Proven expertise in strategy development and operational implementation of counseling programs, with a strong focus on evidence-based practices and positive client outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Duties are performed in a variety of settings to include, outside, office and technical settings where the work and general environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee can effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple projects in service-oriented environment. Environmental noise levels are minimal.
