KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Mentorship and Guidance: Serve as a mentor to caregivers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality private duty services. Utilize your critical thinking skills to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions. 
  • Coordination of Services: Coordinate and oversee both direct and indirect client services provided by agency personnel. Assign appropriate personnel based on client needs and ensure efficient delivery of care. 
  • Case Evaluation and Review: Review and evaluate each case thoroughly, identifying service requirements and opportunities for improvement. Conduct regular case conferences and provide ongoing feedback to staff to enhance performance. 
  • Staff Development: Promote the professional development of staff through in-service training and continuing education programs. Offer guidance and counseling to help employees continually improve their skills and provide safe, effective care to clients. 
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and agency policies. Conduct regular record reviews and supervisory visits to maintain high standards of quality and safety in service delivery.
  • Community Engagement: Act as a liaison between the agency and the healthcare community, promoting private duty referrals and staying informed about changes in the field. Participate in the development of organization goals and strategic objectives. 
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Critical Thinking Skills: Must possess exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to effectively navigate complex scenarios and make sound decisions. 
  • Excellent Communication: Strong observation and communication skills are essential for effectively coordinating services and providing guidance to staff. 
  • Self-Directed: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being flexible and cooperative in fulfilling obligations. 
  • Physical and Mental Stamina: Maintain good physical stamina and mental health to meet the demands of the role, including on-call responsibilities and staffing clients as needed. 
  • Licensure and Requirements: Must be a licensed driver with a reliable vehicle, insured in accordance with state and agency requirements. Meet all qualifications outlined in the Home Service Worker job description.
