Client Aide
Client Aides are an integral part of our team and help ensure the safety of our clients and facilities. Client Aides work closely with our residents who are vulnerable individuals in need of support, understanding, and protection. Client Aides are responsible for the safety of our clients at their assigned facility during their scheduled shifts. In addition, they are accountable for the program's needs (environment of care, compliance, documentation, first aid, and crisis management).
Employment Expectations:
- Serves and protects Christ-Centered Ministries / Restoration Reentry Residence practices by adhering to professional standards, policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.
- Maintains accurate documentation of service objectives, outcomes, and other services following Federal, State, County, and company guidelines.
- Secures client information and maintains client confidence by completing and safeguarding data and keeping client information confidential and in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and acting as a mandated reporter.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivates a meaningful relationship with each client in residence.
- Demonstrates positive interaction and de-escalation skills when redirecting negative behaviors.
- Understands that Restoration Reentry Residence is a healthcare facility, and we provide mental health treatment to our vulnerable residents who need to be respected.
- Helps the clients cultivate appropriate social, behavioral, and interpersonal skills and attitudes necessary to community living and adjustment.
- Provides support for clients completing nighttime and morning routines.
- Makes routine checks and records the completion, as specified by the program.
- Assures that each client is physically present and accounted for during routine checks while notifying appropriate personnel if a client is not on site.
- Completes all forms of documentation according to individual program policy and procedures.
- Cleans and maintains common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and the overall cleanliness of the residence.
- Reports all damage and maintenance needs in the facility to the Maintenance department.
- Conducts crisis intervention as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or GED is required. Some college studies are preferred.
- At least one year of experience working within a residential facility, familiar with mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Guard Card is a plus.
- Knowledgeable, experienced, and committed to housing and homeless issues is essential.
- Can demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
- Knows crisis intervention, Part-R, CPR, and First Aid.
- Knows various Applications and Devices, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications, Dropbox, Computers, iPads, mobile devices, etc.
- Must have a valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.
- Available to work weekends.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

- Ability to maintain adequate and organized systems to ensure timely client flow.
- Consistently contribute to Christ-Centered Ministries / Restoration Reentry Residence program developments and produce high-quality results on time.
- Team player who enjoys a fast-paced environment and operates effectively at all levels.
- Can handle multiple projects simultaneously and cope effectively with ambiguity.
- Has excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to present persuasively.
Physical Requirements:
- There is some walking, bending, and kneeling. Must be able to participate in the moderate lifting of at least 30 lbs. or more (suitcases, packages, etc.).
- This position must support the client's weight in case of an emergency or the client's disability requiring assistance in walking, etc.
Workplace Environment:
- There is a risk of exposure to bodily fluids infections, contagious / blood-borne diseases, and chemicals (cleaning agents), and exposure to varying, unpredictable situations (i.e., client behavior).
