Client Advisory Services/Consulting Senior

The Client Accounting & Advisory Services Senior is responsible for providing professional consulting, project management, and outsourced controller/CFO services for our CAAS/Outsourced Accounting clients. These services require strong planning, communication, and organizational skill; as well as the ability to analyze complex financial data and client workflows to solve problems thoroughly and quickly. In addition, this position is responsible for a variety of general accounting duties including maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing financial reports in accordance with applicable standards. Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and other integrated third-party software solutions is strongly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for a variety of general accounting duties including maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing financial reports
  • Attend staff meetings and financial reporting meetings with client
  • Review and revise processes and procedures
  • Assess, develop, and implement client's accounting software
  • Review and develop internal control and segregation of duties
  • Oversee client's financial reporting cycle and monthly close
  • Assist client in preparing required management documents and maintaining strong communication with independent auditors
  • Thinks proactively about practice development to include opportunities to cross-sell to existing clients as well as identify new clients
  • Proactively communicates with other staff on the status of projects and assistance needed
  • Effectively communicates with clients to receive information necessary to complete the engagement with minimal disruption to the client.
  • Develops expertise within agreed-upon industry niches.
  • Becomes involved in state/local professional organizations, serves on state/local committees, and accepts volunteer positions in local community organizations.
  • Becomes a leader and resource in the firm by helping with internal firm matters not limited to process improvements, recruiting, marketing, and other administrative functions as necessary.
