The Classroom Liaison supports children's learning and development by working closely with families, the classroom team, and interdisciplinary staff across home, school, and community settings. Reporting to the Program Supervisor, this role delivers responsive Early Learning programming that reflects the diversity of the families served and aligns with ABC’s mission to help children overcome challenges and thrive. The Classroom Liaison fosters an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child can reach their full potential.

What You’ll Do

Parent education & engagement by conducting learning beyond the classroom sessions with families, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to foster resilience and engagement

Assessment & individual support by participating in screenings and tracking of child progress towards IPP goals

Child observation & documentation by providing one-on-one support and adapt classroom strategies based on interdisciplinary input

Classroom management & environment by helping organize an inclusive learning environment tailored to diverse needs

Trauma-Informed practice through an understanding of how trauma impacts child development, behavior, and learning to support emotional regulation and engagement

About You

You thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment where no two days are the same, bringing integrity, empathy, and a passion for making a difference. With strong communication skills, you build trust and foster teamwork while delivering results and maintaining service excellence. Your ability to plan, organize, and adapt ensures efficiency in achieving goals. 

Must-Haves:

  • Degree, Diploma or Certificate in education, early childhood development, child and youth care, special needs education Assistant, indigenous studies, settlement studies, social services certificate, Community Support Worker Diploma. Equivalencies may be considered. 
  • Certification in Safe Management, SCERTs, or Flight (preferred)
  • Current First Aid

Working with Us

This position is based in our Edmonton classrooms, with occasional opportunities to engage in community outreach. Compensation starts at $25.35/hour, with increases based on experience and qualifications. Position starts September 2, 2025.
