Class B Delivery Driver - Manufacturing

Local manufacturing company is looking for a FULL TIME highly motivated, CLASS B DELIVERY DRIVER to join our team.  We offer competitive wages, benefits and opportunity for advancement as the company grows and expands.

 

 

Delivery Driver Job Description:

  

• Follow the instruction of the shipping supervisor
• MUST perform a truck inspection before leaving Fortified Building Products premises (NO EXCEPTIONS)
• If discrepancies are found they must be noted on the inspection form, if safety discrepancies are found, DO NOT leave the premises until any/all safety discrepancies are repaired/replaced (burnt out lightbulbs, Etc.)
• Check drivers’ box to ensure the following items are available:  Written itinerary, Delivery documents, Business card holder to house truck registration, Truck insurance card, truck gas card, and a business card from Sales personnel at FBPI, Drivers’ log book.     

• When loading truck, initial EACH item on packing slip as it is put on the truck.
• Follow printed itinerary as written
• Contact client a minimum of 30 minutes out to confirm/arrange delivery.
•  When delivering, initial each item as it is taken off the truck.
•  All gas receipts are to be kept in drivers’ box (NO EXCEPTIONS)
• Drivers box to be turned into HR each afternoon. If HR is unavailable, Drivers box will be turned in through shipping office (HR will remove all receipts from drivers’ box and turn them into AP upon receipt of driver’s box)
• Complete Drivers log book daily as directed by DOT regulations.
• Must be able to listen attentively.
• Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills (meaning you should have the ability to get along with others while getting the job done.
• Exercise good time management (being at work on time, making the best use of your time)
• Any other duties as requested by supervisor or management team.
• Must be able to travel as there will be some over night trips required.

 

Requirements: 

      High School Diploma or equivalent

      Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check and a driving history check.

      Possess a VALID CLASS B DRIVERS LICENSE

     Must be able to work long periods in the heat and lift up to 50lbs.
