Job Title: Chinese Interpreter (Temporary – 7 Weeks)
Location: Factory Setting – Chicago, Illinois
Duration: Approximately 7 weeks (Starting on or about October 22, 2025)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Chinese Interpreter to support a temporary project involving equipment and machinery installation in a factory environment. The interpreter will be responsible for facilitating clear and accurate communication between Chinese-speaking technicians and English-speaking staff to ensure smooth installation and training processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time interpretation between Chinese and English during equipment/machinery installation.
- Translate technical discussions, instructions, and documentation as needed.
- Assist project teams by ensuring clear communication in a factory/industrial setting.
- Support both on-site staff and visiting personnel to minimize misunderstandings and improve workflow.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
- Experience in interpretation/translation in a technical, industrial, or factory setting strongly preferred.
- Ability to understand and convey technical terminology accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and professionalism in a fast-paced work environment.
Position Details:
Start Date: October 22, 2025Duration: Approximately 7 weeksSchedule: Full-time, on-site during installation project (hours may vary depending on project needs).Work Environment: Factory setting, working closely with technical staff. Work site is in Chicago. Local resources preferred. However, we will consider travel and per diem for the right candidates from another geographical location.
