Childcare Worker for Weekends

This position is responsible for care of children up to 5 years old in the Playroom while providing a safe and nurturing environment. The Playroom Staff will create a safe, caring, and engaging environment conducive to building trust with all members. If you have availability on weekends to provide occasional coverage when needed, you can be part of an exclusive team in our playroom.
This is casual employment on weekends to provide coverage as needed.
Responsibilities
- Greet/interact professionally with members and children.
- Provide care to infants and toddlers including snack offerings and diaper changes.
- Engage children of all ages with a variety of group activities including craft making, swimming, and camp games.
- Prepare and serve snacks and/or meals.
- Respond to parents’ inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Promote health and wellness through hand washing, cleaning of toys, etc.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Clean and organize playroom and putting away any hazard equipment.
- Support and assist other team members by conversing and contributing information on an ongoing basis.
- Personal/professional conduct demonstrates RGC Core Values and Code of Conduct. Demonstrates ethical principles in all daily activities.
Qualifications:
- Infant/Child First Aid Certificate or Standard First Aid/CPR C/AED is required
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check required.
- Early Childcare Level 1 is an asset
