Child Watch Attendant

Child Watch Attendant is responsible for the care of member's children while the parent remains on site. Also responsible for cleanliness of the Child Watch room and its contents.

 Job Type: Part Time                   Hours: M-F 9:00am- 12:30pm               

                                                                  M-TH 4:00pm- 6pm

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or old
• 1-2 years experience working with children
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of child development
• Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, & Child Abuse Prevention.
• Administrative skills including recordkeeping, statistical reporting and ability to complete and maintain Child Watch program paperwork according to department guidelines.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide safe programs and environment for all participants, volunteers and staff.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and record keeping (i.e. sign in and out forms,& accident reports)
• Maintain the cleaning schedule and equipment checklist and submit to the supervisor.
• Interact with the children and role model to staff how to appropriately interact with children and families.
• Ensure that developmentally appropriate activities are being offered to the children.
• Follow task given to you by lead supervisor.
• Greet every Parent and Child as he/she walks into child watch area.
• Ensure that each child leaving child watch area has been properly identified and is leaving with the appropriate person.
