This full-time position has an anticipated start date of approximately June 1^st , 2024, and an end date of approximately September 30th, 2024. Contract length is subject to change based on the location and the demands of the season. 

Get to know us:

Drive west along one of the most scenic highways in Canada through the spectacular mountainous landscape of Strathcona Park and the village of Gold River towards Tahsis.  Approximately 2 hours by road from Campbell River on Vancouver Island is Moutcha Bay Resort, on the waters of Nootka Sound.

Requirements for Swing Cook:

·         Minimum of 2 years of restaurant kitchen experience. 

·         Food Safe Level 1

·         Prioritization and time management skills.

·         Ability to work positively under pressure. 

·         WHIMIS Certification 

·         Ability to life 30lbs and stand for prolonged periods in close proximity to others. 

Duties of Swing Cook:

·         Listen for and follow Chef’s instructions.

·         Prepare menu items for guests using standard recipes in an efficient manner to standard.

·         Coverage of the Staff Cook when necessary (up to 60 employees).

·         Prepare ingredients, set up stations, and stock supplies.

·         Clean, sanitize, sweep, mop, dishwash, and complete all cleaning duties as required. 

·         Ensure production, preparation and presentation is of the highest quality at all times.

·         Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
