Charge Nurse - RN/LPN - 2nd Shift Weekdays, Full-Time
Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing:
- Supervises nursing team members who provide direct resident care
- Communicates with all healthcare providers and partners
- Coordinates and implements nursing care as ordered by the physician and
agreed to by the resident
- Documents resident status / care / services in a timely, accurate, and
comprehensive manner
- Responsible for the provision of nursing services within the scope of
licensure and in compliance with current standards of practice and
corporate/care center policies and procedures
- Follows the plan of care and ensures the overall health and well-being of each resident
Qualifications / Requirements
- Must have an unrestricted and
active Iowa (or compact state) RN or LPN license
- Experience in skilled nursing / long-term care (LTC) preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of federal and state nursing facility rules and
regulations, including licensing, OSHA, CDC, and Public Safety
- If licensed as an LPN, the Iowa Board of Nursing requires the completion of a
Board-approved supervision course within six (6) months of working in a charge
/ supervisory capacity
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language
- Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable

Job Type: Full-Time
Shift/Schedule: 2nd Shift (2p-10p), Monday-Friday (no weekends); Flexible Scheduling; approx. forty (40) hours/wk
Wage Range*: $34.00/hr-$39.00/hr, Negotiable (DOE)
Base Wage: $37.00/hr (RN) and $32.00/hr (LPN), Negotiable (DOE)
Years of Experience
Incentive Pay: $0.20/per year, up to ten (10) years
2nd Shift Differential: $5.00/hr
