Part Time or PRN LPN/RN Charge Nurse for Evening Shift - 6p-6a
Topside Manor is a small 45-bed home in Goodland, KS. We are looking for a PART TIME OR PRN 6p-6a Charge Nurse to work in our brand new small home!
Position Summary:The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and managing the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit within a small nursing home. This role ensures that high-quality care is provided to residents while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care Management: Monitor and manage the delivery of care to residents, including assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and ensuring proper implementation.
Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between residents, families, and healthcare providers, addressing concerns and providing updates as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care, including progress notes, medication administration, and any changes in patient conditions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, including infection control and safety standards.
Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services as necessary.
Training & Development: Assist in the training and development of new nursing staff and provide ongoing education and support to existing staff.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State]. years of nursing experience, with at least [X] years in a long-term care or nursing home setting preferred.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Physical Requirements:
