Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures with tissue handling, suturing, and hemostasis.
  
  

• Maintain sterile fields and ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols.
  
  

• Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate instrument and supply needs.
  
  

• Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care as required.
  
  

• Assist with wound closure, retracting tissue, and other surgical tasks under surgeon supervision.
  
  

• Inspect and prepare surgical instruments and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
  
  

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) or equivalent credential required.
  
  

• Completion of an accredited surgical assisting program or equivalent experience.
  
  

• Minimum 2 years experience
  
  

• Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical anatomy, and operative procedures.
  
  

• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
  
  

• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks.
