Certified Phlebotomist/Certified Medical Assistant
Qualifications
(a) 18 years of age or older
(b) Strong attention to detail and high professional standards
(c) Knowledge of laboratory techniques/equipment to perform specimen collections
(d) Effective communication skills, ability to interpret written instructions, ability to work as a team member, data entry experience, and ability to multi-task with ease
(e) Customer service experience and good problem-solving skills
(f) Experience with personal protective equipment (PPE)
Urine Specimen Collector Job Requirements:
(a) Collecting patient specimens in the physician’s office, including urine, blood, and oral specimens
(b) Interacting daily with patients
(c) Completing requisition forms for specimen testing
(d) Ensuring integrity of the specimen
(e) Obtaining accompanying patient information
(f) Entering patient information into the laboratory system
(g) Requesting missing patient information from medical staff at the physician’s office
(h) Hepatitis C Referrals (including obtaining appointment information)
(i) Correctly documenting any HCG or other lab results in the patient’s chart
(j) Other general office tasks as necessary
(k) Certified Phlebotomist Certificate required!!!
