Role Overview: In the capacity of a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced nursing professionals to provide essential care and support to hospice patients. Your duties will encompass assisting with daily activities, monitoring patient well-being, offering emotional solace, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure our patients experience the highest level of comfort and dignity.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
Observe and report changes in patients' physical and emotional conditions to the nursing team.
Maintain precise and up-to-date records of patient care activities.
Work in concert with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Contribute to creating a secure and clean environment for our patients.
Qualifications:
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
A compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a sincere commitment to offering comfort to patients and their families.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
An aptitude for effective teamwork.
Strong attention to detail and proficient documentation skills.
Basic computer skills for electronic charting.
