Aurora Health and Rehabilitation is looking for Certified Medication Aides (CMTs) to complete our team!

DAILY OPEN INTERVIEWS (M-F 8a-4p)

Our Certified Medication Aides are responsible for administering daily medications to residents in accordance with acceptable standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements. 

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Administer routine daily medications as prescribed by physician orders and as stated on the Medication Administration Record (MAR). 
  • Documents tasks delivered on a daily basis, monitors residents, reporting changes.
  • Verifies identity of residents and records name of drug, dosage and time of administration on specified forms and records; Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered and reports to nursing supervisor
  • Presents medication to residents and observes ingestion or other application using specified procedures.
  • Participates in meal service including serving, cleaning and cleaning of the dining room. 
  • Assures residents are positioned properly for meals, serves food trays, and assist with feeding as indicated. 
  • Delivers ALL a.m. and p.m. snacks and supplements.

  • Responsible for knowledge of proper procedures to provide personal care services to residents, provide requested personal care services to residents.
  • Records and restocks medication inventories. 
  • Prepares equipment and assists nurses during treatment examinations of residents. 
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Valid current Certified Medication Aides (CMT) certification in the State of Missouri
  • At least one year experience providing care and services in long-term care (preferred)
