Certified Dietary Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department in our long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of dietetics, ensuring that our residents receive optimal nutrition tailored to their individual needs. This role is crucial in managing dietary operations, including patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations, while supervising staff to maintain high standards of food service and safety.

Duties

• Manage the daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with health regulations and dietary guidelines.
• Conduct patient assessments to develop personalized nutrition plans that meet individual health requirements.
• Oversee tube feeding protocols and ensure proper administration as per medical guidelines.
• Supervise dietary staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate the nutritional needs of residents and adjust meal plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of dietary services, including meal counts, inventory management, and food safety audits.
• Implement programs that promote resident satisfaction with meals while adhering to dietary restrictions.

Experience

• Proven experience in a dietary management role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in supervising staff and managing a team effectively.
• Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes related to patient nutrition is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.

Education:

• High School Diploma (Required)
• Safe Serve (Preferred)
• Dietary Managers Certification (Preferred)
