We are recruiting for a per-diem Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist to join our skilled team of pediatric professionals in Marlton, NJ. This position is not benefits eligible.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) to assist the Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital Team in the development, operation, and evaluation of the Diabetes Management Program. Responsible for team based and patient diabetes education.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A health professional who meets specific discipline requirements as defined by the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE).
2. Possession of current registration/license to practice in their specific health profession, including active New Jersey license when applicable.
3. Possession of a current certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) from the CBDCE.
4. Minimum of two years experience in Diabetes education and community healthcare preferred.
5. CPR certification
6. Computer proficiency with WORD, Power Point, Excel strongly preferred
7. Ability to instruct individuals and groups in formal and informal settings.
8. Ability to work with people from different socio-cultural backgrounds and/or standards of living in an effective manner
9. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
10. Ability to incorporate new ideas or concepts into clinical practice.
11. Ability to work with community agencies as appropriate.
