Catering Sales Associate

Smokin’ Jack’s BBQ is seeking a motivated and results-driven Catering Sales Associate to join our growing team. This role is perfect for a self-starter who enjoys networking, building client relationships, and helping execute memorable food experiences. As a key contributor to our catering growth, you will drive sales, manage client accounts, and coordinate with our kitchen and operations team to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Client Development-
Proactively generate new leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and outreach

Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, schools, nonprofits, and community partners

Identify and target new business opportunities across Milwaukee and surrounding areas

Conduct detailed client consultations to understand event objectives, budgets, and service needs

Create and present custom catering proposals and service packages

Work cross-functionally with kitchen and logistics teams to ensure flawless event execution

Maintain regular communication with clients and provide a high level of service pre- and post-event

Keep accurate records of all sales activity, proposals, and bookings

Resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner to ensure repeat business

Track and report on daily and weekly sales activity

Analyze sales performance and client feedback to improve strategies

Collaborate with the marketing team to create content and promotional campaigns for catering

Represent the brand at expos, community events, and client meetings to expand visibility

2+ years of sales experience, preferably in catering, events, or hospitality

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and hit targets

Knowledge of catering operations or event planning preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred

Equivalent experience in a sales or client-facing role will be considered

Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Local travel to client meetings and events as needed

Base salary + performance-based commission

Commission on each event booked and managed

Tiered commission for events from generic or shared leads
