Case Manager – Workers' Compensation

Job Summary: 

 The Case Manager will manage and grow the company's workers' compensation (WC) program, partnering with local industries to provide high-quality musculoskeletal care for employees injured on the job. The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare and WC experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently to ensure smooth care coordination for injured workers. Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

The Case Manager for Workers’ Compensation Department will have team lead responsibilities and assist in the program development, hiring, training, performance reviews, termination, and/or progressive disciplinary actions of other team members under the supervision of the Business Office Manager 

  

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  1. Oversee and coordinate all aspects of workers' compensation case management, ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective care for injured workers.  

  1. Serve as the primary liaison between employers, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and employees to facilitate effective communication and treatment.  

  1. Work closely with the Marketing department to promote the WC program on behalf of BROCThis includes setting meetings and conferences with other industries and vendors in the area providing luncheons, educational sessions, and sharing collateral to inform others of services offered.   

  1. Evaluate, plan, and implement care strategies, including managing care transitions and return-to-work processes.  

  1. Work directly with physicians and medical staff to track patient progress, ensuring that care plans are followed and adjusting when necessary to optimize outcomes.  

  1. Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and address any potential issues that arise during the claims process.  

  1. Provide guidance and support to injured employees regarding their treatment plans, rehabilitation options, and return-to-work processes.  

  1. Maintain detailed, accurate records of cases, utilizing the EPIC EHR system to document interactions, care plans, and outcomes. 


     Education and Experience: 

     

    Education 

     

    Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.  

     

    Experience 

    1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare, workers' compensation, or case management.
