The Role
The Carpenter/Set Builder will construct structures and props, while also maintaining the existing structures on the farm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and reading drawings and sketches for requirements of build projects
- Cost out build jobs according to drawings
- Work with both the Production Manager and Operations Manager to complete projects according to the Farm's timelines and expectations
- Maintain existing structures and buildings on the farm in adherence to high safety standards
- Build and assemble haunt props, scenes and scares and install them according to plans
- Build and assemble farm projects (picnic tables, benches, large lawn games, etc)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate and liaise with owners and management team
- Perform other duties and assigned tasks as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a carpenter (licensed carpenter preferred)
- Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good understanding of basic math & english
- Good physical condition and endurance
