Cardiac Rehab LPN

IMC is currently looking to hire a part time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Under the immediate supervision of the Cardiac Rehab Supervisor, this person will provide health care services in an outpatient setting; while effectively interacting with patients and maintaining a good working relationship with coworkers and all hospital employees with open communication.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate
- Graduate of state approved LPN/LVN School of Nursing
- Currently licensed as a LPN in the state of Louisiana
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience preferred, but not required
- Basic Life Support/CPR certification desired
- Knowledge of Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Analysis
- Basic knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary systems
PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor Heart Rate and Blood Pressure of Patients
- Monitor EKG Telemetry System of Patients
- Assist with Glucometer reading
- Assist with minor patient wound care
- Assist in Patient Education
- Assist in screening patients for appropriateness for Cardiac Rehab
- Keep data on patient census
- Keep records in orderly manner
- Log patient billing
- Prepare documents for patient evaluations and physicians
- Assist in scheduled cleaning duties and morning prep duties
