JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Under the direction of the Summer Program Coordinator the Carbuncle Park Monitor will collect fees from visitors coming to use the beach area and splash pad. They will monitor the beach area and splash pad for safety hazards such as sharp objects. They may assist in emergency situations. They will provide information to visitors about the beach rules and regulations and assist with the enforcement of those rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
The Carbuncle Park Monitor is responsible for:
• Safeguarding of beach and splash pad areas
• Assisting visitors with purchase of day and/or season passes
• Collection of fees
• Sale of concessions as needed.
• Support lifeguards and program counselors.
Supervisory Responsibility
None
Work Environment
The work environment involves being outside working at freshwater lake, exposed to inclement weather conditions and often with insufficient protection from the sun. Hazards may be presented by naturally occurring and continually changing conditions such as water temperature, debris, uneven sand.

Required Education and Experience
• High school student with accurate math/money skills.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to adapt/respond to diverse types of characters.
• Positive attitude- must enjoy working with/around children.
